United Kingdom COVID-19 Updates

The Home Office has announced that the visas for those who are unable to leave the UK due to travel restrictions or self-isolation requirements will be extended through 31 July 2020. This is an extension of the extension scheme that previously was valid through 31 May 2020. It is important to note that visa holders eligible under this extension scheme must request an extension by updating their records with the Home Office Coronavirus Immigration Team.

Visa holders who previously already had their visa extended to 31 May 2020 will have their visas extended automatically to 31 July 2020 without the need to resubmit the form to the CIT.

Additionally, Home Secretary Priti Patel confirmed today that from 8 June almost all travelers arriving in the UK, including British citizens, will be required to travel directly to a designated address (indicated in a contact locator form to be completed upon arrival) where they will self-isolate for a period of 14 days. Failure to comply will result in a fine of GBP 1,000 or potential prosecution.
