The USCIS announced on its website and on Twitter yesterday that the H-1B Cap registration period, which was due to end today at noon Eastern Time (ET), will be extended until 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday, March 20, 2023.
This extension was granted because some registrants were not able to complete the H-1B registration process due to technical problems involving the Pay.com payment system. These technical problems have been corrected and the USCIS will now accept registrations through the extended deadline period.
The USCIS indicates that any paid and completed registrations already received by the agency were not affected by these technical problems. Registrations may thus be submitted at any time today, as well as on Saturday and Sunday. Registrations submitted on Monday must be received and paid for by 5:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. Pacific Time). Registrations received after the deadline will be rejected.
