Entry Exemptions for Foreign Experts

Under the current travel restrictions in Israel, exemptions from the entry ban are granted only in exceptional humanitarian cases. It is expected that, starting this week, the Exemption Committee will accept and consider entry permission applications filed on behalf of foreign experts who provide essential services and whose presence is critical to the Israeli economy. When reviewing applications, the Exemption Committee will prioritize requests involving foreign experts who hold valid work visas and who seek to return to Israel.

Employers seeking to bring foreign experts to Israel are strongly encouraged to file exemption requests as soon as possible to avoid longer processing times as a high volume of applications is expected.
