- Entry Restrictions
International travel to Sweden is currently restricted until 31 March 2021, except for the following passengers:
- Nationals and residents of Sweden and their family members;
- Nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and Vatican City (Holy See), and their family members, if arriving from a country other than Denmark or the United Kingdom;
- British nationals and their family members, if arriving from a country other than Denmark or the United Kingdom;
- Passengers arriving from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Switzerland;
- Passengers holding residence permits issued by Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Vatican City (Holy See), and their family members, provided their residence permits have been issued for a validity period of more than 3 months AND they are arriving from a country other than Denmark or the United Kingdom;
- Passengers holding long-term, national visas issued by Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Vatican City (Holy See), and their family members, provided their visas have been issued for a validity period of more than 3 months AND they are arriving from a country other than Denmark or the United Kingdom;
- Residents of Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand and Uruguay, provided they are arriving from a country other than Denmark or the United Kingdom;
- Passengers who carry out essential functions in Sweden, including:
- Healthcare professionals, researchers in the area of health and medical care, and staff working with the care of the elderly;
- Cross-Border Workers (within EEA area) commuting to Sweden on a daily or weekly basis;
- Personnel transporting goods and others working in the transport sector;
- Passengers in transit (those who do not need to pass through passport/customs control in Sweden);
- Students or students to be, holding a residence permit for studies;
- Highly skilled workers, whose job cannot be postponed or be performed remotely;
- Participants or necessary support staff in international professional athletic events.
2. Quarantine/Self-Isolation Requirements
There are currently no mandatory quarantine/self-isolation requirements for international travelers to Sweden.
