Tafapolsky & Smith LLP is pleased to announce that our Co-Founder and Partner J. Anthony Smith (“Tony”) will be a panelist on a nationally featured web seminar taking place on Tuesday, May 9 at 2:00 PM (Eastern Time) entitled “Intersection of Employment Law, DOJ, and PERM Recruitment.”
Tony is a Founding and Managing Partner at T&S. He provides strategic counseling to employers and employees regarding employment-based immigration process, policy, and compliance issues, including M&A, RIF, corporate restructuring, and other corporate changes. He also works on administrative appeal and complex audit matters, channeling the earlier years of his career as a litigator in state, federal, and appellate courts.
Hosted by the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s (AILA) Professional Development Department, the seminar will cover important business immigration topics including the impact that recently enacted salary transparency laws across the country have had on the green card process, what employers must now be mindful of regarding new state and local salary transparency requirements, and how recent Department of Justice (DOJ) action may impose additional requirements on PERM recruitment.
The seminar is available to all AILA members and will include a live Q&A session. Live attendees will be provided CLE credit. For those who cannot attend the live event, recordings will be available at AILA’s Web Seminar Recordings page approximately two weeks after the live event date. AILA members will be able to access these recordings, with no CLE credit, for free.
Additional details regarding the seminar’s featured topics and how to register are available here.
