For background, the Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) is an electronic arrival card required of all travelers entering Singapore, including Singapore residents. Two groups are exempt: travelers transferring through Singapore without immigration clearance, and Singapore residents entering via the Woodlands and Tuas land checkpoints.
The Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has announced two enhancements to the SGAC:
First, seven new language options will be supported, bringing the total language options from 12 to 19. ICA selected the new languages based on those most commonly spoken by travelers to Singapore.

Second, passport scanning is being extended to Singapore residents (Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents and Singapore Long-Term Pass holders). Currently, only foreign nationals can scan their passports on the ICA website and the MyICA mobile app. Singapore residents will be able to autofill their details by scanning their passport, in addition to retrieving them via SingPass.
Together, these changes make the SGAC easier to complete for a wider range of travelers.
The new features will be made available to travellers on the ICA website effective 26 August 2026 and will be introduced on the MyICA mobile app subsequently.
