Canada: Updated NOC Prevailing Wage Rates

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) prevailing wage rates have been updated. Employers with temporary foreign workers on LMIA-based work permits are responsible for reviewing these rates and adjusting salaries where required. The latest wage information can be found here: Job Bank Wage Search.

While not all occupations saw increases, many did. If a work permit holder’s current salary falls below the updated NOC prevailing wage, it must be increased to meet or exceed the new rate.

Implementation deadline: Employers must apply the new wages for all current LMIA-based work permit holders by 1 January 2026. Failure to comply may result in enforcement actions under the TFW Program, including administrative monetary penalties and restrictions on future program participation.
