June 22, 2009

The USCIS and FBI today announced that the Name Check backlog that had been a cause of delayed green card processing over the past few years has been eliminated.  According to the announcement, "The final goal . . . was to achieve a sustainable performance level . . . of completing 98 percent of name check requests submitted by USCIS within 30 days, and the remaining two percent within 90 days.
